Ingredients
  

  • 3.3 lb pork jowl
  • 0.2 lb bacon, sliced
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp sweet marjoram, dried
  • 2 tbsp paprika powder
  • 5 oz your favorite red wine
  • 1 large sliced onion
  • 1 big carrot
  • 0.5 lb button mushrooms
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1 tbsp tapioca flour
  • 1 tbsp salt

Instructions
 

  • Cut the pork jowl meat into portions that are about an inch long.
  • Cast iron pan with oil on the hob.
  • For a few minutes, sauté the onion after the bacon.
  • Add marjoram, fresh thyme sprigs, pork jowl, and paprika powder.
  • While stirring, let the pig jowl brown for a few minutes.
  • Include your preferred red wine.
  • 17 ounces of water should cover the amount added. Cook with the lid on over medium heat.
  • Cut the carrots into little cubes and add them to the stew in the interim.
  • Before adding the mushrooms, verify that the pork is soft enough after the 40 minutes have passed.
  • In case more water is needed, add it. Another 15 minutes of cooking.
  • Verify how soft the pork jowl is. Well-stir the tapioca flour.
